28-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Sack in UP; Lover Arrested

A 28-year-old woman was found dead inside a blue plastic sack near Shahzad Dam in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, earlier this week. The deceased was identified as Rani Rekaywar, a resident of Madhya Pradesh. Police arrested her lover, Jagdish Rekaywar, in connection with her death.

According to the police, Rani’s body was discovered in Bastagua village and later identified by a tattoo on her hand. Authorities reported that she died after consuming a soft drink allegedly laced with pesticide. A post-mortem confirmed the presence of the poisonous substance.

Police said the victim and the accused were in a relationship. An investigation revealed that Jagdish gave the poisoned drink to Rani. After she died, he allegedly placed her body inside a plastic sack and dumped it near the dam.

Based on the report, the accused had planned the act after Rani reportedly decided to end the relationship. Following the discovery of the body, Lalitpur police launched an investigation and traced the suspect.

Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mushtaq confirmed Jagdish’s arrest. The police registered a case and are continuing further investigation. Forensic tests and other legal procedures are underway as part of the case.

The accused is currently in police custody. Authorities have not released further details regarding charges or upcoming court proceedings.
