Six Men Arrested for Running Fake International Police Office in Noida

Six individuals have been arrested in Noida for allegedly operating a bogus office under the name “International Police & Crime Investigation Bureau” to deceive the public and collect donations. The accused had rented a space in Sector 70 and set up an office that mimicked official investigative agencies, complete with fake seals, identity cards, and documents bearing names of global organizations like Interpol and the International Human Rights Commission.

According to police, the gang set up the office on June 4 and operated it for nearly 10 days. During this time, they posed as members of a legitimate international law enforcement agency and used the space to lend credibility to their fraudulent activities. They also created a website and solicited funds under the guise of carrying out verification and investigation work.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shakti Mohan Avasthy stated that the suspects had adorned the office with official-looking emblems and had in their possession multiple forged items, including ministry certificates, visiting cards, checkbooks, ATM cards, and over ₹42,000 in cash. 

The accused have been charged under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Information Technology Act, and the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act. Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify potential victims and trace the full scope of the operation.
