‘Saiyaara’ Day 2 Box Office: Mohit Suri’s Romance Drama Nears ₹50 Crore Milestone

Mohit Suri’s latest romantic drama Saiyaara is off to a strong start at the Indian box office, collecting nearly ₹50 crore within its first two days. Starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film continues to gain momentum heading into its first weekend.

After a solid opening of ₹21 crore on Friday, the film saw impressive growth on Saturday, earning approximately ₹26 crore, according to early estimates by industry trackers. With this, Saiyaara has reached an estimated two-day total of ₹47 crore to ₹48 crore.

Trade analysts report that the film is performing well across both metropolitan and Tier-2 cities. As per data from Sacnilk, the movie recorded a 51% overall occupancy in the Hindi belt on Saturday, with evening and night shows seeing packed auditoriums, especially in urban centers.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted the strong trend in a social media update:

“Saiyaara is showing blockbuster signs. Saturday collections exceeded expectations, and Sunday is likely to post an even higher figure. A ₹75 crore weekend is well within reach.”

Produced by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara has already surpassed several other recent releases at the box office, including Maalik, Nikita Roy, and Metro… In Dino. It is on track to become one of the highest-grossing romantic dramas featuring newcomers in recent years.

Positive word-of-mouth and strong audience response are expected to continue boosting the film’s performance through the weekend. With Sunday advance bookings already strong, industry watchers predict the film could cross the ₹75 crore mark by the end of the weekend and possibly target ₹100 crore in its opening week.

The success of Saiyaara also marks a notable comeback for director Mohit Suri, known for earlier romantic hits. For both lead actors, this early success provides a promising start to their careers in Bollywood.
