Police in Faridabad, Haryana, are investigating a shooting incident that took place late on July 30 in Tilpat village, where two unidentified assailants opened fire at the residence of a local man, Om Prakash. Authorities believe the attack was linked to a personal rivalry dating back two years, reportedly originating from a dispute at a local gym. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

According to officials, the suspects arrived at the location on a motorcycle before discharging multiple rounds at the house. Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) footage captured the men moments before the shots were fired. Responding officers recovered several spent bullet casings from the scene as evidence.

Police have registered a case under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) related to attempted murder, along with provisions of the Arms Act, which regulates the possession, manufacture, and use of firearms in India. The case is being handled as a serious violent crime, and efforts are underway to apprehend the perpetrators.

Sub-Inspector Yashpal, who is leading the investigation, confirmed that the suspects remain at large. “We are examining CCTV footage and other leads to track the accused. They will be arrested soon,” he stated. Police teams are also questioning residents to gather more information on the suspects’ identities and possible escape routes.
