Delhi Man Suspected of Killing Wife and Two Daughters, Police Launch Manhunt

A man from Delhi’s Karawal Nagar area is suspected of murdering his wife and two minor daughters before fleeing the scene, police said on Saturday. The incident has shocked residents and prompted an intensive search for the accused.

According to officials, the bodies of 28-year-old Jayshree and her daughters, aged seven and five, were discovered in their home early Saturday morning. Police responded to an emergency call around 7:15 a.m. and found the victims lying dead in their bedroom. The bodies have been sent to GTB Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The primary suspect, identified as 33-year-old Pradeep Kumar, is currently absconding. Police believe the murders were the result of a domestic dispute, though investigations are ongoing to determine the exact motive. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Neighbours told police that frequent arguments had been taking place between Pradeep and his wife. “They used to fight regularly,” a local resident said, adding that the couple often quarreled over personal issues. Police are considering these accounts as part of their investigation.

Forensic experts were called to the scene to collect evidence. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the area and have formed multiple teams to trace the suspect. Family members and acquaintances of the couple are also being questioned to gather more information.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Joy Tirkey confirmed that a manhunt is underway. “We are taking all possible steps to locate the accused and understand what led to this tragic incident,” he said in a report.
