‘Saiyaara’ Surpasses ₹130 Crore in Just 5 Days, Outshines Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’

In a stunning box office performance, Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara, featuring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has crossed ₹130 crore in collections within just five days of its theatrical release, overtaking Salman Khan’s action drama Sikandar.

Released on July 18, Saiyaara opened to strong ticket sales and has continued to attract audiences across India. The film earned nearly ₹24 crore on its fifth day alone, bringing its total earnings to over ₹131 crore, according to industry trackers.

Trade analysts are calling Saiyaara one of the year’s biggest surprise hits. It not only benefited from word-of-mouth promotion and social media buzz but also showcased a fresh romantic narrative that resonated with younger viewers. The film’s soulful music and emotional storytelling contributed to its growing popularity.

In contrast, Sikandar, despite Salman Khan’s star power, concluded its box office run at ₹110 crore. With Saiyaara surpassing this mark in less than a week, it signals a shift in audience preference toward original content and emerging talent.

Saiyaara is now among the top five highest-grossing Hindi films of 2025 so far, and expectations are high that it will cross the ₹150 crore mark in the coming days. It’s success also marks a promising debut for both Panday and Padda and reinforces Mohit Suri’s place as a master of modern Bollywood romance.
