India and the United States are set to launch a landmark satellite mission, the NASA–ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR), from Sriharikota on July 30. Designed to monitor Earth’s surface with precision, this initiative represents a strategic collaboration between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the United States’ National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), reinforcing both nations’ commitment to technological leadership and environmental awareness.
The upcoming launch of the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) marks a pivotal achievement in international space cooperation. Scheduled for lift-off on July 30 from India’s spaceport in Sriharikota, the satellite is designed to perform high-resolution monitoring of the Earth’s surface, covering everything from forest density to glacier shifts, soil moisture, and tectonic movements.
