Grove Finance Announces $250 Million RWA Initiative on Avalanche

Grove Finance, a credit-focused protocol under Steakhouse Financial, has launched a $250 million real-world asset (RWA) initiative on the Avalanche blockchain. This strategic move is set to significantly expand Avalanche’s presence in the growing RWA sector.

The initiative is being rolled out in partnership with Janus Henderson, a prominent global asset manager. It will include the issuance of two tokenized financial products: the Janus Henderson Anemoy AAA CLO Fund (JAAA), which offers exposure to high-grade collateralized loan obligations, and the Janus Henderson Anemoy Treasury Fund (JTRSY), which invests in short-term U.S. Treasury bills. Both products will be tokenized through the Centrifuge platform.

Currently, Avalanche hosts around $195 million worth of tokenized real-world assets. With the addition of Grove’s initiative, that figure is expected to more than double, reaching approximately $445 million in total RWA value.

The Grove Finance platform was initially developed to support USDS, a decentralized stablecoin within the Sky protocol ecosystem. The decision to expand into Avalanche aligns with the protocol’s broader goal of bridging traditional financial instruments with decentralized finance infrastructure.

Avalanche’s appeal lies in its high-speed, low-cost transactions and the flexibility of its customizable subnets, making it an attractive destination for institutions exploring asset tokenization. The network has steadily built a reputation as a competitive blockchain for institutional-grade financial applications.

Tokenized RWAs are gaining momentum across the crypto industry, as investors seek blockchain-based access to traditional income-generating products. The partnership between Grove Finance and Janus Henderson is being viewed as a milestone for the sector, demonstrating how blockchain can streamline exposure to structured credit and government securities.
