Godrej Enterprises Group’s aerospace division has secured a significant manufacturing contract with Pratt & Whitney, a global leader in aircraft engines and a subsidiary of RTX Corporation. This agreement, announced on Thursday, July 24, 2025, marks a substantial expansion of Godrej’s technological capabilities and production volumes in the high-precision aerospace sector, further cementing India’s role in the global aviation supply chain.

Under the new contract, Godrej Aerospace will produce complex aerospace components destined for use in Pratt & Whitney’s aircraft engine applications. This collaboration is a testament to Godrej’s long-standing expertise in high-precision manufacturing and its commitment to contributing to India’s aerospace ambitions and self-reliance in critical technologies. The contract aligns with Godrej’s broader vision of becoming a key supplier to global aircraft engine Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Maneck Behramkamdin, Business Head of the Aerospace business at Godrej Enterprises Group, underscored the significance of the partnership. “This contract with Pratt & Whitney is not just a business milestone; it is a testament to India’s rising capabilities in complex aerospace manufacturing,” he stated. Behramkamdin further added, “By leveraging our advanced infrastructure, deep expertise, and commitment to global quality standards, we are proud to play a role in shaping the future of aviation manufacturing in India. We look forward to strengthening this relationship and expanding our footprint in the global aerospace supply chain.”

Godrej’s current aerospace manufacturing capacity in India stands at approximately 35,000 square meters, with an additional 48,500 square meters under development. This expansion is consistent with the company’s strategic vision to elevate India’s manufacturing capabilities to a global standard, particularly in high-precision engineering and the critical aerospace supply chain.

The partnership with Pratt & Whitney, a company whose engines power a significant portion of the world’s aircraft fleet, highlights the increasing confidence in India’s advanced manufacturing sector. It underscores a growing trend of global aerospace firms collaborating with Indian enterprises, fostering technological transfer and strengthening bilateral industrial ties. This development is expected to open further avenues for Indian manufacturers in the demanding and technologically advanced aerospace industry.
