The CBSE Cluster‑III Table Tennis Tournament 2025 commenced today at Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro, bringing together athletes from 41 schools across Jharkhand and Bihar for three days of competition. Hosted annually under the CBSE sports calendar, the event promotes competitive spirit, discipline, and teamwork among students.

The opening ceremony featured a cultural program followed by a ceremonial march‑past from the participating teams. School officials, coaches, and players attended the inauguration, which showed the role of sports in fostering resilience and camaraderie in student life.

On the first day, Jusco School, Kadma, won the Under‑17 girls’ category, securing gold, while DPS Bokaro took silver after a closely fought final. Organizers noted that several matches displayed impressive technical skill and mental focus from the young competitors.

The semifinals for the Under‑14 and Under‑19 boys’ categories will take place next week, giving athletes additional preparation time after preliminary rounds. These stages are expected to attract strong spectator interest, particularly as several seeded players from last year have advanced.

A total of 41 schools are competing in various age divisions, Under‑14, Under‑17, and Under‑19 for both boys and girls. Matches are being held on multiple tables inside the DPS Bokaro indoor sports complex, with official CBSE umpires supervising play. Organizers have arranged medical support and refreshment facilities for participants to ensure smooth proceedings.

School authorities emphasized that the tournament is more than a competitive event; it is a platform to identify and nurture emerging table tennis talent. Previous editions have produced players who went on to represent their states at national championships. Parents and spectators have been encouraged to attend to support and motivate the players.

The host school is also sharing regular updates and highlights on social media, adding to the event’s visibility. As the tournament advances into knockout rounds, the level of competition is expected to intensify, with close contests likely.

With high energy from participants and strong community engagement, the CBSE Cluster‑III Table Tennis Tournament 2025 is set to be a highlight of Bokaro’s sports calendar this year.
