A key moment of the visit was Margherita’s tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at the Consulate General of India in Dubai. The Minister paid his respects before Gandhi’s bust and emphasized that the teachings of the nation’s father, particularly those of non-violence, peace, and truth still serve as guiding principles for people worldwide. He expressed that Gandhi’s legacy transcends borders and remains a cornerstone of Indian diplomacy and global perception.

In addition, Margherita joined consulate officials in listening to the 124th episode of Mann Ki Baat, a monthly radio address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The program, which showcases stories of national interest and citizen achievements, was broadcast from India and streamed for the diaspora community in Dubai. Margherita described the session as “inspiring,” praising the Prime Minister’s emphasis on grassroots innovations and civic responsibility.
