EducationUSA, the official United States government platform for higher education, is set to organize eight Study in the U.S. education fairs across India from August 9 to 17, 2025. The initiative aims to give students and parents across the country direct access to accredited American universities and reliable information about studying in the United States. The fairs will be held in Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Pune, bringing together representatives from more than 50 accredited institutions to guide prospective students through every stage of the application process.

EducationUSA functions as the U.S. government’s official source of information on American higher education, offering unbiased, accurate, and comprehensive advice to international students. For Indian students, who make up one of the largest groups of foreign enrollees in the United States, the upcoming fairs are expected to be a valuable opportunity to interact face-to-face with university officials, admissions officers, and EducationUSA advisers. The events will focus on providing details about academic programs, eligibility requirements, application timelines, scholarship opportunities, and campus life in the United States. Additionally, U.S. Embassy representatives will be available to answer questions on student visas and immigration procedures.

Participation in the fairs will be free of charge, but advance registration is mandatory to ensure entry. Students and parents are encouraged to sign up early to secure their place, as spots are expected to fill quickly given the scale and reach of the event. Organizers have emphasized that the fairs are not recruitment drives for any single institution, but rather an open platform for students to explore a wide variety of educational opportunities in the U.S., covering fields such as engineering, medicine, arts, business, and the social sciences.

The scheduled venues and times are as follows: August 9 in Chennai at Hilton Hotel from 2 PM to 5 PM, August 10 in Bengaluru at Hyatt Centric Hebbal from 1 PM to 5 PM, August 11 in Hyderabad at ITC Kohenur from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, August 12 in New Delhi at The Lalit from 6 PM to 9 PM, August 13 in Kolkata at The Park from 6 PM to 9 PM, August 15 in Ahmedabad at Hyatt Vastrapur from 2 PM to 5 PM, August 16 in Mumbai at St. Regis from 2 PM to 5 PM, and August 17 in Pune at Sheraton Grand Pune Bund Garden from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Apart from hosting these fairs, EducationUSA maintains advising centers in New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. These centers operate year-round, offering free or low-cost services to students seeking guidance on selecting the right university, preparing applications, and fulfilling visa requirements. EducationUSA advisers follow a Five Steps to U.S. Study framework, covering research, financing, application, visa, and pre-departure preparation. This ensures students receive end-to-end support, reducing misinformation and common application errors.

The U.S. remains one of the most sought-after destinations for Indian students, with over 300,000 currently enrolled in American colleges and universities as of 2024. Organizers of the fairs believe that bringing official representatives to different regions of India will help bridge the information gap for students who may not otherwise have direct access to credible resources. For many families, the fairs will be their first opportunity to get personalized answers to questions about living and studying abroad. By providing a transparent, accessible, and trustworthy environment for discussions about U.S. higher education, the events aim to empower Indian students to make informed decisions about their academic futures.
