Young Boy Leaves Home to Follow Spiritual Path

A 13-year-old boy from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, ran away from home to become a seer, inspired by the spiritual guru Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj. The boy, identified as Aman Dubey, was found in Varanasi after a police search and has since been reunited with his family.

Aman left his home in Bimutia village, under the jurisdiction of the Barhalganj police station, on August 1st. He was on his way to school but never arrived. When he didn’t return home by the evening, his family began a search and filed a missing person’s report the next day. The Gorakhpur police, using CCTV footage from local bus and train stations, discovered Aman had boarded a train to Varanasi. Police in Varanasi were then alerted and eventually located the boy near a ghat.

Upon his rescue, Aman explained his intentions to the police. “I want to become like Sant Premanand Maharaj. That’s why I left home,” he stated. He told authorities that he had planned to stay in a Varanasi temple for a few days before traveling to Mathura to join the spiritual leader’s community.

According to his father, Amarnath Dubey, a furniture businessman, Aman had been greatly influenced by the spiritual discourses of Premanand Govind Sharan. He regularly watched the guru’s videos on social media. “He never shared anything with us, but he was deeply motivated by the teachings,” said Amarnath Dubey.

The spiritual leader, Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj, is a prominent figure known for his teachings on devotion and Sanatan Dharma. He has gained a large following through his presence on social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram. His discourses emphasize detachment from worldly desires, selfless service, and chanting the names of Radha-Krishna.

The Barhalganj police station’s Station House Officer, Chandrabhan Singh, confirmed the boy’s safety and said he would be brought back home. Aman’s parents, accompanied by Gorakhpur police, have traveled to Varanasi to bring their son back.
